Hyderabad: The Telangana State Haj Committee has made elaborate arrangements to issue Haj application forms from Monday.
The SHC has set up special counters in the Haj House for filling up of the Application Forms apart from verification and receiving of the Haj Application Forms.
The Haj Forms will be accepted till January 24 by the State Haj Committee. The form can be downloaded from www.hajcommittee.gov.in and can also be downloaded on Android mobile app “Haj Committee of India’.
A maximum of five adults and two infants (born on or after October 11, 2015) can apply in one cover.
Earlier, Prof. S.A. Shukoor, special officer of the Haj Committee, said there were two reserved categories. Category A is for pilgrims who have completed 70 years or more on January 1, 2017, and they will be selected without drawal of lots. Those who have applied for a fourth time will get preference in Category B.
Applicants will have to deposit Rs 300 each for the application in any of the branches of State Bank of India or Union Bank of India in the name of ‘Telangana State Haj Committee‘ to obtain the application, which will have to be submitted along with supporting documents such as passport copies and address proof.
Pilgrims are required to indicate their option in the application for accommodation available in two categories of Green and Aziziya in Makkah.
