75 per cent of Metro Rail work done, says L&T

Work on 17 stations in stage I and II complete.

Hyderabad: According to L&T Metro Rail, 75 per cent of the Metro project is complete and testing on the Nagole to Mettuguda and Miyapur to S.R. Nagar stretches has been done. Trial runs are on and officials are confident that they will be completed in time.

Mr S.N. Subrahmanyan, deputy managing director of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited, said, “We are committed to completing the project and are co-operating with the government to remove all roadblocks for rapid progress of the project. Support from the government has helped us in overcoming some major issues. It enabled us to proceed with the work at a rapid pace to complete the project as soon as possible.”

L&T Metro Rail has stated that foundation works have been completed on 61.20 km while piers works have been finished on 58.10 km.

Works of span erection has been done on 49 km and track works on 36.25 km. Seventeen stations have been completed in stage I and II and works on three interchanging stations and 30 other stations are in progress.
