Hyderabad: Forty five persons from Chennai are working to get the Khairatabad Ganesh idol ready for the festival on August 25. The main idol, Chandi Kumara Ananta Maha Ganapathi, will be flanked by a Shiva idol on the right and Mahishashura Mardhini on the left.This is the 63rd Ganesh festival of the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samiti, which has capped the height of the idol at 57 foot. Samiti member Raj Kumar said work on the idol began on June 22 after Ekadashi. The committee is yet to decide on the weight of the laddoo, he said.
