Chennai: The ruling AIADMK on Friday announced that it would host the 'Iftar' party here on Saturday and that party supremo and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa would preside over it.
The event would be held at the Chennai Trade Centre, a party statement said.
Last year, Jayalalithaa had skipped the event due to illness.
She had said she was unable to attend the Iftar party due to sudden illness, though it was her wish to participate in the event (organised by AIADMK) as usual,"
