Someshwara Temple Rathotsava held at Ulsoor

Hundreds of devotees pulled the wooden chariot through the streets of Halasuru with the utsava murti of Lord Shiva.

BENGALURU: One of Bengaluru's oldest temples Sri Someshwara Temple in Ulsoor on Saturday celebrated its rathotsava.

Hundreds of devotees pulled the wooden chariot through the streets of Halasuru with the utsava murti of Lord Shiva.

The chariot was decorated with flowers, leaves, plantain, sugarcane and lamps.
Mr Selvamani T., executive officer of the Muzrai Department, said that the chariot festival brings people from all castes and creeds together. Mr P. Dinesh, Endowment Tahsildar, said that the rathotsava is one of the oldest festivals in Bengaluru.
