Focus on Janmabhoomi: N Chandrababu Naidu

Naidu asks partymen to keep away from controversies.

Vijayawada: The TD coordination committee meeting held on Saturday has countered the opposition YSRC allegations on former minister Somireddy and also discussed strategies on promoting the welfare schemes of the government in order to reach the targeted audience, more effectively. MLAs and ministers have been asked to involve more in Janmabhoomi actively and each minister will be given separate responsibility, apart from the responsibilities entrusted to the in-charge ministers.

While adjudicating the performance of the TD as a whole and party programmes, it is learnt that the party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has made a mention about the performance of the Congress and the YSRC. “It seems the performance of the Congress has slightly improved,” he observed. At the same time, the YSRC strength has come down on all fronts, Mr Naidu reportedly said.

While speaking on Jan-mabhoomi programme, he has suggested to the leaders to ensure that Janmabhoomi committees should perform well. “In case of non-performance of the members, they can be replaced by good people,” he has suggested. Mr Naidu also felt unhappy over the ongoing developments within the ruling party for the last two weeks. Issues rose out of minister Ravela Kishore Babu-Johny Moon controversy, Vijayawada West MLA Jaleel Khan issue, Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy’s comments against the Chief Minister and MLC Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and YSRC MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy controversy, were elaborately discussed in the coordination committee meeting. Mr Naidu has directed the party state president Kala Venkata Rao to address all the issues.

“No differences should be noticed on the public platform as they may tarnish the image of the party at further levels,” Mr Naidu observed and suggested to senior leaders to keep a close watch on the outcome of the controversies. Party official spokespersons also have been advised to be more judicious while interacting with media on sensitive issues, keeping in view the recent comment by Varla Ramaiah on Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan.
