Hyderabad: A man committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Punjagutta after coming to know about his wife's alleged extramarital affair with another person in Bengaluru.
According to the police, the family members of victim alleged that the husband, Prashanth, a resident of Pratapnagar of Punjagutta, had asked his wife, a software professional working in Bengaluru, to mend her ways but the woman did not change,
“Prashanth recently came to know that the woman was into an affair with another man. When she did not stop the affair even after several requests and warnings from Prashanth, he slipped into depression and hanged himself at his house when he was alone on Tuesday,” a police officer said.
The police booked a case under section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC. The wife did not attend the funeral, according to the police.
