Bengaluru: A man in an inebriated condition crashed his car into a two-wheeler, killing one and leaving another injured. The driver, Manjunath, has been arrested by the Madiwala Traffic police. The incident occurred on Hosur road near Madiwala around 12.30 am on Sunday. The deceased, Anand (25), who hailed from Belagavi, was heading back home with his friend Naveen Kumar on his two-wheeler when the accident occurred.
The police said that the two were passing through the Bommanahalli junction when the speeding car crashed into their bike. Anand, who was riding the bike, was thrown into the air, while Naveen hit a footpath and sustained injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where Anand was declared brought dead. It is learnt that they were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The passerby stopped the car, caught hold of driver Manjunath and informed the police.
