Bihar: 3 bikers drag 15-year-old by her dupatta, crush her to death

Police said the accused are absconding and they have launched a manhunt to nab them.

Kaimur: Three motorcycle-borne men dragged a class 10 student by her dupatta and crushed her to death in Bihar’s Kaimur district on Tuesday.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the incident took place in Karjaon village on Hata-Durgawati, when the 15-year-old girl from Fakarabad village was heading to her school with three of her classmates.

Three men on a bike arrived there and pulled the girl’s dupatta, following which she lost her balance and fell on the road, HT quoted its sources as saying. The men dragged her for about 50 meters, then around and ran over her, killing her on the spot.

The men abandoned their bike and fled when villagers rushed to the scene after the victim’s classmates cried for help.

The girl’s father filed a complaint, based on which the police registered a case against one Krishna Kumar Gond of Karjaon village and two of his unidentified friends

However, police have not arrested anyone as yet.

Assistant superintendent of police Jagunnath J Raddy said the accused are absconding and they have launched a manhunt to nab them.
