Bengaluru: ACB raids babu, Rs 2.85 crore property unearthed

During the raids, the officials found documents related to immovable properties and seized them.

Bengaluru: The sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the office and residences of the Joint Director of the Department of Industries & Commerce in Davanagere, H. S. Jayaprakash Narayan, and unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs 2.85 crore.

ACB officials of Davanagere district raided the Joint Director’s office and residence simultaneously on Friday morning. During the raids, the officials found documents related to immovable properties and seized them.

“Narayan’s house in Shivakumaraswamy Layout 2nd stage is valued at Rs 50 lakh, while he has a three storey building in a site measuring 70x30 in Mylasandra in Bengaluru South taluk that is valued at Rs 1 crore. He also has another property in Vivekananda Layout and that is estimated to be worth Rs 50 lakh. Besides, there are five residential sites in Davanagere registered in his wife and daughter’s name. Also, he has some agricultural land,” an ACB official said.

The ACB officials also found a car, three two wheelers, 100 grams of gold, two kgs of silver and cash Rs 1.35 lakh at his residence. The ACB is further scrutinising the seized documents.
