Snatchers on looting spree spread panic in Cyberabad

Police launched a hunt for the accused and announced a reward of ' 20,000 for clues on the suspects.

Hyderabad: Bike borne snatchers went on a looting spree in Cyberabad on Thursday morning, terrorizing the residents. The snatchers riding a black coloured bike targeted woman at RC Puram, Miyapur and KPHB. While they succeeded at Miyapur and KPHB and looted two Gold chains weighing around 6.5 tolas, they failed at RC Puram. Police launched a hunt for the snatchers and also released their cc grabs. Police also announced a reward of '20,000 cash prize for anyone who gave clues on the suspects or their movements.“They could be old offenders who could have earlier involved in snatching cases and had entered the city from Sangareddy district. We are verifying the records and analysing the CCTV cameras in the neighboring Police stations” said investigating officials.

According to Police, the snatchers entered RC puram and then headed towards Miyapur and KPHB and fled towards Madhapur after completing their operation.
The bike borne snatchers riding a black coloured Bajaj Pulsar, were found wearing caps and covered their faces with hand kercheifs.

At around 7am at Kakatiya colony under RC Puram Police station limits, Golla Lakshmi (30) working as a domestic help had completed her work in one house and was moving to the next house, when the snatchers targeted her. They pulled her chain from the next, but when she held back her chain, it broke and a part of it went into their hands, while a major portion of the chain was left in the victim’s hands.Lakshmi told cops that the chain was a rolled gold one.

Around 7.20am, the same suspects targeted another woman Rajyalakshmi at JPN nagar in Miyapur and snatched her 4 tola Gold chain. At 7.50, the same snatchers targeted a 52 year old woman Kuppal Lakshmi, working as a chef and relieved her of her 2.5 tola Gold chain.

Police said that the cc footages showed that the suspects had fled towards Madhapur after committing offences in the three locations.
