Telangana: Missing boy returns home after a week

Satvik had decided to leave home fearing parents over backlogs.

Hyderabad: Sreenidhi Engineering College student Satvik Reddy, who was missing since a week, was traced in Secunderabad by the Ghatkesar police. He ran away from home fearing his parents over backlogs. He was missing since October 13.

According to the police, Satvik, a resident of Mansoorabad, is a final year engineering student. Before he went missing, his father told him that he would visit the college to pay the fees. But Satvik, who had 17 backlogs from three years, feared that his father would come to know about his academic record. After this, Satvik went missing and a case was registered at the LB Nagar police station.

A few days later, his whereabouts were traced with the help of CCTVs at Secunderabad railway station. The police also tracked his mobile phone. Two days ago, his mobile location was traced to Bihar.

“He claimed that he was moving around Secunderabad and he took shelter on the platform. When asked about his mobile, he said that it was stolen from the railway station. We could not get more details as he is yet to recover from the shock,” said P. Kasi Reddy, inspector LB Nagar.
