The Koramangala police have arrested two people, including a fake journalist, on charges of drug peddling and seized one kg of charas worth Rs 3 lakh from the accused.
Hyderabad: The police have written to banks to furnish the details of the online transactions by the betting ring which was busted at Marriott Hotel on Thursday night. The police seized electronic point of sale machines from the organisers along with Rs 24 lakh currencies.
“All the arrested persons were remanded on Saturday. Efforts are on to nab others who are at large,” said Mr R. Srinivas, inspector Gandhinagar. Task force officials said that the team is making efforts to nab the main organisers who slipped out of the hotel before the raid. Gambling, according to the police, was going on for the last three days and a few other participants had bunked the day when the raid was conducted.
