Andhra Pradesh: ACB sleuths trap two officials while accepting bribe

VIJAYAWADA: The Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths have trapped two revenue inspectors while accepting bribe and took them into custody in two separate cases booked in Krishna and Satya Sai districts on Thursday.

In the first case, Kankipadu mandal revenue inspector of Krishna district, identified as Banavathu Krishna Naik, has demanded and accepted Rs 5,000 to process an application for issuing family member certificate to complainant R. Malleswara Rao hailing from Manthena village of Kankipadu mandal.

In another case, the town planning revenue inspector of Hindupur municipality in Satya Sai district, identified as Shafivulla, was caught while accepting the bribe of Rs 15,000 for fixing less property tax to a new house belonging to complainant Baba Fakruddin of Hindupur.
