Hyderabad: Two burglars held, over Rs 4 lakh property seized

On Wednesday night, Gopal was found moving suspiciously in Bachupally. The patrolling teams apprehended him.

Hyderabad: The police arrested two notorious burglars on Thursday in two separate incidents.

The Bachupally police arrested a burglar and recovered properties worth over Rs 3 lakh from him. In another incident, the KPHB police arrested a burglar and recovered Rs 1.25 lakh worth properties from him. The accused were identified as Chepyala Gopal and R Srinivas Rao.

On Wednesday night, Gopal was found moving suspiciously in Bachupally. The patrolling teams apprehended him. During the inquiry, he admitted that he was involved in many burglaries.

“He used to target locked houses. If family members were present in the house during nights, he would gain entry by opening the main door through the window located near the main door.” said Mr N Bhujanga Rao, ACP, Kukatpally division.

More than Rs 3.3 lakh worth properties were recovered from him.

In another incident, 48-year-old mason-turned-burglar was arrested by the KPHB police. Srinivas Rao, hailing from Krishna district in AP. He was arrested on Thursday and Rs 1.25 worth properties were recovered from him.
