Karnataka: Man hacked to death in Rajajinagar

The deceased has been identified as Bharath, a resident of Kurubarahalli in J.C. Nagar.

BENGALURU: A 24-year-old murder accused was brutally hacked to death in broad day light by a gang of five armed men in Rajajinagar ‘N’ block on Thursday noon.

The deceased has been identified as Bharath, a resident of Kurubarahalli in J.C. Nagar. He was helping his father at his tailoring shop. Police said that the incident took place around 3.30 pm.

A gang of five armed men brandishing lethal weapons came in an auto and attacked Bharath and brutally assaulted him near a men’s PG accommodation.

Police said that according to eye-witness and owner of Hi Tech PG, the gang brutally assaulted Bharath. There were multiple injuries on his body. He alerted the police who reached the spot and rushed Bharath to hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

According to the police, Bharath was arrested in 2012 for a murder in Nandini Layout. “He was released on bail later. We suspect the rival gang may have attacked him.” Subramanya Nagar police have launched a manhunt to nab the assailants.
