Chennai: The Police on Wednesday arrested a man for killing his teenage daughter, a mentally challenged girl, at their residence in Nerkundram. Auto driver Adikesavan's daughter A Kausalya (19) had been living with him for the past few months, police said. He was separated from his wife Mohana nine years ago.
The couple had two children - son Ajith and daughter Kausalya. Kausalya reportedly threw tantrums and broke things in the house, which infuriated Adikesavan.
On Wednesday morning, irate over her behaviour, he strangled her with a nylon rope and murdered her. He then surrendered at the Koyambedu Police station. Police secured the body of the girl from the house and moved it to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
