Physically challenged man steals bike in Banashankari

According to the police, Rajanna, a businessman had parked his scooter and went inside his house.

BENGALURU: A physically challenged person made away with a scooter which was parked in front of a house in K.R. Road in Banashankari on Sunday evening.

According to the police, Rajanna, a businessman had parked his scooter and went inside his house. After a couple of hours, he came out and found the scooter missing. He looked around for his vehicle but in vain.

He then approached the Banashankari police and lodged a complaint. The police took up the case and verified the CCTV footage from nearby buildings. It was found that a physically challenged man stole the bike. Police have launched a hunt to nab him, said the police.

Rs 10 lakh stolen from scooter, 2 detained
Two people were detained for questioning in connection with a theft of Rs 10 lakh in cash kept in the boot space of a scooter parked near a bank in Chunchghatta in J P Nagar police station limits on Tuesday. Police said the complainant, Sumanraj, who works in Jigani had collected Rs 15 lakh in cash from the clients and gone to the State Bank branch in RBI layout to deposit Rs 5 lakh and left the remaining Rs 10 lakh in the boot space. But when Sumanraj returned from the bank he found the lock of the scooter’s boot space was open and cash was missing. Based on the complaint, the J P Nagar police reached the spot and carried out investigation. J P Nagar police have registered a case and begun investigation.
