Double intersection flyover will be built at NAD junction.

Visakhapatnam: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for a first-of-its-kind double-rotary intersection flyover at NAD junction on Tuesday. The Chief Minister has laid the foundation stone for the Tu-142 aircraft museum project on the beach road opposite to the INS Kurusura submarine museum. The government has big plans to start several tourism projects in the city to attract the tourists.

“Tourism sector is one of the important sectors that create employment and economic development in the state. Having long beaches over 30 km till Bheemunipatnam, there is a huge scope to develop tourism projects in the city,” Mr Naidu said. He said that the aircraft museum would be completed by December and would be inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind. Tourism minister Bhooma Akhila Priya said the department had spent Rs 10 crore to set up the aircraft museum and more projects were in the pipeline.

The government has decided to spend Rs 1,000 crore to set up decommissioned warship INS Virat in the city as part of tourism projects, she said.
