Hyderabad: Officials conducting MBBS counselling were in for a big shock on Friday when a girl turned up claiming the 13th rank which was found to be fake. Kaloji Health University vice-chancellor and MBBS counselling convener Prof. B. Karunakar Reddy said officials did not lodge any complaint keeping the girl’s future in mind.
“While the first ranker had secured 151 marks, her rank card showed 152 marks. We sent the girl and her father to JNTU for cross-checking. Officials stated that it was fake. We let them off with a reprimand,” he said. Nearly 94 per cent rankers attended the counseling on the first day.
