Police said that Manjunath, a habitual offender, was involved in around 45 cases and was arrested earlier. He was released from the jail three months ago, after he obtained bail.

After coming out, he again took to crime and got involved in six cases of house burglary. He was committing the offence alone by breaking the main doors of the houses using an iron rod.

“In the last three months, he had committed similar offences in Bharathinagar, Pulikeshinagar, Soldevanahalli in the city, Suryanagar in Bengaluru Rural district, and Hassan Extension police stations’ limits. Based on various clues, the Bharathinagar police arrested him and cracked six cases. The police have recovered 850 grams of gold jewels, 850 grams of silver articles, a car and high end television set, totally worth Rs 30 lakh, from the accused,” the police said.
