Bengaluru: The BJP on Monday filed a complaint before the Anti-Corruption Bureau, seeking prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his officials for allegedly denotifying 6 acres of BDA land in Survey Number 20 and 21 at Boopasandra in Bengaluru North taluk.
BJP former corporator N.R. Ramesh alleged in the complaint that Mr Siddaramaiah has denotified the land in favour of Jayalakshmamma.
Later the general power of attorney (GPA) of the same land was made in favour of Keerthi Raj Shetty, the complaint stated.
Mr Ramesh has named as accused Mr Siddaramaiah, Urban Development Department Secretary Mahendra Jain, Legal Cell officer Eravel Kalpana, Urban Development Department Additional Secretary N. Narasimhamurthy, BDA Commissioner Shyam Bhat, Bengaluru North Taluk Special Tahsildar, MLA Vasanth Bangera, applicant Jayalakshmamma, S.N. Viajayalakshmi and K.V. Prabhakar.
Further, Mr Ramesh stated that due to pressure from the chief minister and officers, Kalpana gave her legal opinion without considering the factual position of the law.
The government withdrew its writ appeal in the High Court, which caused a loss of nearly Rs 300 crore to the state exchequer, he said. “All the accused have cheated the state government by illegally denotifying the BDA land. Land owners have already got compensation for acquiring the land for a residential layout on Survey Number 20 and 21 at Boopasandara. The BDA has also given alternative sites to the allottees. After completing these processes, the chief minister denotified the land to Jayalakshmamma,” it stated.
