Hyderabad: Three undertrial prisoners from the Chanchalguda prison, who are held in a terror case, attacked a warden after an argument on Saturday.
According to the police, the three accused persons, Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, Mohammed Ilyaz Yazdani and Mohammed Attahullah Rahman had interviews with their relatives at around 12 noon. Later, they went to the wicket gate to take the food items brought by the family members.
“Around 12.30 pm, the trio walked towards the main gate with the intention to flee. They were stopped by the prison staff and they attacked the warden, G. Sampath,” said D. Venkanna Naik, inspector, Dabeerpura.
They were overpowered by the jail staff and sent to their barracks. Police registered a case. The trio along with a few others were arrested in July 2016 in an ISIS terror case in the city.
