Junior college student ends life in Kadapa

On Friday morning, his parents and other family members went to the fields asking Naga Chalam to go to college.

Anantapur: A junior intermediate student of a private junior college committed suicide at his residence in Matli Vaddupalli under the Veeraballi police station limits in Kadapa district on Friday. Sources said that K. Naga Chalam, 16, of Vaddupalli, was studying in the junior intermediate in MPC group at Kakatiya Junior College in Rayachoti town in Kadapa district.

Naga Chalam, who was unable to keep up in studies, was irregular in class. He was also suffering from stomach problems for the past few days. On Friday morning, his parents and other family members went to the fields asking Naga Chalam to go to college. But he didn’t and committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house. Neigbours who noticed the student hanging, alerted his parents.The Veeraballi police said a case was registered.
