Hyderabad: The Nampally police, who is investigating the TRS MLC Farooq Hussain abusing an NRI women, Amtul Wasay, case, recovered the mobile phone that captured the MLC abusing her.
Meanwhile, the police also registered a case against Ms Amtul Wasay after the MLC lodged a complaint, stating that she trespassed into his house and threatened him. Police is investigating both the cases.
Joel Davis, DCP, central zone, said that after registering the case, she was asked to deposit her brother’s mobile phone with which they recorded the episode. She has handed over the mobile, which will be sent for forensic analysis.
“We found only one part of the episode, in which the MLC is seen shouting at her. Since the MLC had lodged a complaint, we are verifying if there was any provocation,” said the DCP.
He further added that they are also verifying the rental agreement to check the terms and conditions.
Ms Amtul Wasay lodged a complaint with the police alleging that the MLC shouted at her. The incident happened when she asked the MLC to vacate the flat which she had rented out to the MLC.
