Visakhapatnam: The Vizianagaram police intensified the investigation into the rape of minor girl, who is staying in a government hostel in Vizianagaram. It may recalled, that the police have found a six-month-old human foetus in the bushes, near the hostel on Sunday. Preliminary investigation revealed that the foetus was of a newborn girl. Police said that an unidentified person raped the girl and forced her to consume abortion pills after impregnating her.
Taking a serious note on this incident, district collector Vivek Yadav suspended the social welfare hostel warden Vijaya Nirmala. Mr Yadav also recommended the government to suspend an employee, Sasibhusan in the social welfare department. Police officials said that the girl was stable.
