Hyderabad: Three held for mechanic’s murder

Hyderabad: Three history-sheeters were arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of a car mechanic 10 days ago.

The victim, Syed Sharfuddin was chased and stabbed to death by three persons -- history-sheeter Syed Arshad Bhaktiyar alias Arshad and Syed Firdous, another a history-sheeter. The third person was identified as Shaik Azharuddin.

 

DCP A. Venkateshwara Rao said that prime accused Arshad leased out giant wheels at small fairs. The victim and his brothers were mechanics who worked near a nala adjacent to Banjara Function Hall. Arshad who wanted to park the giant wheel and other mela equipment on the nala stretch asked the victim to vacate the area.  “Sharfuddin was at the shop when Arshad, Firdouz and Azharuddin attacked him,” said the DCP. Syed Arshad was given a life term in a murder case in a lower court but was acquitted by the High Court.
