Hyderabad: Madhapur police nabbed a three-member gang which stole laptops and seized goods worth around Rs 6 lakh from them. The arrested persons are U. Naveen Kumar, R. Satish Kumar and Ch Sravan Kumar. ACP M. Ramana Kumar said that Naveen, a private sector employee staying at Nizampet, targeted the houses of bachelors in Nizampet, KPHB, Raidurgam, Gachibowli and SR Nagar.
“He used to identify houses which were not locked and stole laptops and mobile phones,” he said. He then sold the stolen property to his friends Satish and Sravan and spent it on luxuries.
On Friday, while one of the victims was sleeping at his flat in Ayyappa Society in Madhapur, Naveen stole his laptop. On Saturday, while he was trying to sell the laptop near Inorbit mall, police nabbed him.
Police said that Naveen was involved in four similar offences in Madhapur. Police station and two each in Gachibowli, Raidurgam and SR Nagar and one in KPHB.
