Hyderabad: Notorious rowdy sheeter Syed Wahed alias Wahed Pahilwan was murdered by his aides in Zaheerabad on Sunday midnight. Wahed and his aides had gone to Zaheerabad to attend a party thrown at a farmhouse by one Feroz, who is also a rowdy sheeter. Police suspect that Feroz and his friend Rahim allegedly axed Wahed after he got drunk. Wahed was released from prison in July after he was detained under PD Act.
Police said Syed Wahed alias Wahed Pahilwan, 35, was a resident of Borabanda and is involved in three murders, three rapes and extortion, murder attempts, kidnaps and land settlements. He was one of the key members of the gang of another rowdy sheeter from the city Khaisar and with him was involved in the murder of Fazal near Nampally court. He was booked under PD Act in 2015 and was released on July 1.
On Sunday, Wahed’s associate Feroz, threw a party for him and his other aides and Wahed and seven others went to attend it at Zaheerabad in three vehicles. The party was organised by Feroz and Rahim and Zaheerabad ward Councillor Inayath Pahilwan made arrangements including food and alcohol.
Police suspect that after getting drunk, an argument could have broken out between Wahed and Feroz. “Feroz and Rahim attacked him with sharp weapons. The body has multiple axe and stab injuries,” sub divisional police officer of Sangareddy M. Thirupathanna said, adding that Wahed's aides escaped and informed the police. By the time police arrived he was already dead. Feroz and Rahim also fled the spot. Police officials detained Inayath Pahilwan for questioning.
