Hyderabad: A 20-year-old girl, who faced opposition from her family for wanting to become a model, ended her life in her house a day after she forcefully brought back by parents. Hazra Sultana had left her house and tried to go to Mumbai with her friend on Thursday.
Police said that Sultana discontinued her studies after she failed Intermediate and was trying to take up modelling and movies as her career. Her parents were pressurising her to get married. But with two proposals not materialising, she was depressed and a couple of months ago, she attempted suicide, said T. Lakshmina-rayana, inspector, Bahadurpura, said.
