Hyderabad: The family members of a woman Ms Safoora Begum who is stuck in the Gulf, said that the Asifnagar police station is not acting on their complaint. Ms Rayeesa Begum, mother of Safoora Begum, alleged that two agents Syed Shanawaz Jameel and Moosa had cheated her daughter Safoora and illegally sent her to Damam, Saudi Arabia under the pretext of offering her a job.

The victim is stranded in Damam and is not being paid any salary though she is made to do a lot of work.  The Indian Embassy in Riyadh counseled her employer, but the kafil demanded Rs three lakh, he had paid her earlier.  On January 3, 2018, when the family members of Ms Safoora Begum visited the police station again, they were asked to trace the residences of the agents and file a complaint with the police.
