Hyderabad: Thirty-four persons, including three minors, were picked up by the Rachakonda SHE Team and the Cyberabad SHE Team booked 29 cases in the last three weeks.
A TSRTC bus conductor was rounded up by the SHE Team for harassing women. According to the police, a woman had boarded a bus at KPHB bus stop on Wednesday and when she was inside, the conductor misbehaved with her by touching her inappropriately. Following a complaint, the police registered a case against the conductor and arrested him.
The SHE Team sent the arrested persons for the counselling session at commissioner camp office in Nagole along with family members and the minors were counselled by psychologists.
26 persons were caught by the SHE Team through decoy operations and WhatsApp complaints from different areas in Rachakonda, while they were harassing girls at different junctions, bus stops and colleges. They were counselled by professional counsellors in front of their family members. The minors were counselled by Dr Vasavi Samyuktha Sunki, a chief consultant psychologist.
The Cyberabad SHE Team received 136 complaints. Twenty-one cases were booked under relevant sections of the IPC. The department conducted 17 awareness programmes which were attended by 5,790 individuals.
