Hyderabad: A 28-year-old man was given a 30-day jail time for assaulting a duty constable during bonalu procession in Chilkalguda on Tuesday.
The man, identified as Manoj, son of Suresh Babu, 28, was harassing women and when Chandrakant, a constable on duty from Chilkalguda questioned and stopped him, Manoj picked up and argument and tore the constable’s shirt, said sub-inspector K. Venkata Ramana.
“Manoj has been booked under section 323 of IPC and relevant sections of CP Act” said the official, adding the court awarded him with a jail time of 30 days.
