Hyderabad police takes up NRI murder case

The case which was registered and investigated by the Andhra Pradesh police was transferred to Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have taken up the case of NRI Chigurupati Jayram’s murder. The case which was registered and investigated by the Andhra Pradesh police was transferred to Hyderabad.

The father of the victim Pitchaiah Chowdary lodged a complaint on February 1 that his son Chigurupati Jayram was found died at Itavaram village, NH-65 under Nandigama Police limits and he claims that unknown persons murdered him.

A case under Section 46/19 Us 419, 342, 346, 348, 302, 201. 202 r/w 34 IPC was lodged by Nandigama police.

In the investigation it was found that one Mr. Rakesh Reddy and Mr. Srinivas were arrested . The murder reportedly happened under Jubilee hills PS limits.

The case was transferred and received by special messengers at Hyderabad commissioner’s office and it has been directed to the Assistant commissioner of Police – Banjara Hills has been appointed as investigating officer .
