Hyderabad: The National Crime Records Bureau has revealed that cybercrimes have come down in TS by 2.3 per cent while it increased by 90.1 per cent in AP, in 2015 against 2014.
Cybercrimes recorded in both states stood at 10.5 per of the total. The rate of arrests of accused persons has increased in TS by 0.2 per cent and by 121.1 per cent in AP. TS witnessed 687 cybercrimes in 2015 against 703 in 2014; 536 cases were registered in AP against 282 in 2014.
The NCRB said 17 per cent cases were motivated by revenge, emotional reasons, financial gain and extortion. A huge chunk of cases comprised those attacking women.
