Vijayawada: Three girls, belonging to Jakkampudi YSR Colony, attempted suicide by consuming rat poison on Thursday. They were admitted to the Vijayawada government hospital and are undergoing treatment. The doctors said that their condition is stable. The girls, Navaneetha, Laxmi Tirupatamma and Divya are students of Class VII in the ZP High School at Jakkampudi.
On Nov. 24, the girls played kabaddi along with other girls when at times, their private parts got exposed. Some unknown persons videographed the game and uploaded it on WhatsApp. Unable to digest the fact that that many people had already seen their private parts, the girls attempted suicide. They did not inform their parents or teachers about it. Police registered a case and are investigating. They are trying to trace the guy who had uploaded it on social media.
