What do the stars predict?

With the results of elections in five states due to be announced on December 11.

The second and third stages of the assembly elections in five states are round the corner. The results of these elections are of special interest to India watchers as they are seen as a fore-runner to the impending Lok Sabha elections in May 2019. Bikaner-based astrologer Siddhartha Jagannath Joshi makes his predictions.

Chhattisgarh elections
BJP may scrape through
The Gochara planet position on November 12, the first phase of voting saw the Sun in Libra, Moon in Sagittarius, Mars in Aquarius, Mercury in Scorpio, Jupiter in Scorpio, Venus in Libra (Retro), Saturn in Sagittarius and Rahu in Cancer.
On November 20, the second phase, the Gochara planet position indicated Sun, Jupiter and Mercury in Scorpio, Moon in Pisces, Mars in Aquarius, Venus in Libra. Saturn in Sagittarius and Rahu in Cancer. In the first poll Sun was in weak condition and the Moon was afflicted by Saturn. We can conclude that the general perception of the public on that date was against the establishment.
On November 20, the Sun became stronger in Mars indicating people in power gaining the public’s trust through enthusiasm and aggressive campaigning. The existing government may gain extra points with 72 per cent vote casting.
Result: I can predict that in Chhattisgarh, the first phase of voting will be adverse for the BJP, but the party will gain in the second phase and regain its position.

Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram
50-50 chances fo BJP
The Gochara position of planets on poll day (November 28) will be: Sun, Jupiter and Mercury in Scorpio, Moon in Cancer, Mars in Aquarius, Venus in Libra, Saturn in Sagittarius and Rahu in Cancer. The moon is again in Rahu’s grip causing a ‘disinterest’ in the public. We may observe low vote casting and it may be against the establishment.
Result: In Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram sudden events may change the electoral mood. BJP may get the lead, or can lose in both places.

Rajasthan and Telangana
Ruling parties may retain power
The Gochara position on December 7 will show Sun, Moon, Jupiter and Mercury in Scorpio, Mars in Aquarius, Venus in Libra, Saturn in Sagittarius, Rahu in Cancer. Here the Moon will get good influence of Jupiter so the ruling party will get the people’s support. However as the moon gets combusted by the sun, there may be less interest in the polls. Lower turnout in Rajasthan and Telangana is likely to help the existing government.
Result: In Rajasthan and Telangana, the existing ruling parties may save their respective crowns.
