Watch: Men read out hate-filled tweets to female sportswriters in eye-opening ad

If hostile sexism towards women in general is bad then the situation is especially worse in traditionally male-dominated fields like sports writing. The website, Just Not Sports, has released a public service advertisement that shows a group of male volunteers reading out vicious tweets directed at American sportswriters Julie DiCaro and Sarah Spain.
The men – who aren’t the original writers of the tweets – are seen hesitating to read aloud the spiteful comments about the two women. The terrible tweets include abusive language and even rape threats.
