Artist brings smiles to the faces of sick kids with airbrushed tattoos

By making roses and butterflies to badass skull designs, Lloyd managed to brighten up the day of many children at the hospital.

New Zealand-based artist Benjamin Lloyd had recently announced on Facebook that he would treat all the kids at Auckland’s Starship Children’s Hospital with temporary tattoos if he received 50 likes. But folks online surprised him with not just 50 but a whopping 400,000 likes and counting. So, Lloyd kept his promise and decided to make fake tattoos for kids for the first time.

By making roses and butterflies to badass skull designs, Lloyd managed to brighten up the day of many children who are fighting various illnesses in hospital. He created highly intricate patterns and experimented with a variety of themes when airbrushing tattoos on the children. Many fans appreciated his sweet gesture and have shared photos of the cute kids on social media.

“Nothing brings me more joy than boosting kids’ confidence with a custom tattoo,” Lloyd wrote on Facebook. “The only bad thing is that they don’t want to take a shower afterwards.”
