Bengaluru: Man who lost his arm in crocodile attack faces penalty

Mudit Dandwate was attacked by the croc while attempting to get his dogs out of a lake in the Ramanagaram district.

A 26-year-old who lost his left arm in a crocodile attack on Sunday is facing a penalty for entering a restricted area without permission.

While, no one has personally filed a complaint, the Ramanagaram Police was forced to because of the violation, reports a leading English daily.

Mudit Dandwate a young entrepreneur living in Bengaluru miraculously survived the attack that occured in a forested area near Thattekere lake.

At the time of the attack, the IIT graduate was visiting a temple in the Ramanagaram district with a friend and his two dogs. The crocodile attacked the dogs who wandered off into the water.

Friends of Dandwate reportedly revealed that in his rush to get the dogs out of the water, he did not notice the crocodile. The reptile allegedly tore off Dandwate's left arm just below the elbow.

He was soon rushed to a local hospital and then later moved to the Hosmat hospital. Mudit's condition is stable he is currently in the ICU.
