The 21-year-old managed to clinch a job in top magazine GQ solely on the basis of his resume by thinking out of the box.

The intensely competitive job market has ensured that everyone put their best foot forward when applying for that coveted position – from painstakingly perfecting their resumes to dressing impeccably for the all-important interview – every move is important. But there are always people who know how to stand out from the crowd by daring to think out of the box, like Sumukh Mehta from Bengaluru.

The 21-year-old managed to clinch a job in top magazine GQ solely on the basis of his resume by getting a bit creative. The smart management student made a GQ-style “20-page magazine resume” for the marketing team of GQ, complete with a cover page, table of contents, and even a special editor’s note which listed details about his experience, educational qualifications and hobbies.

He took to Facebook to announce his success by sharing pages of the resume along with the following note:

A 20 page magazine resume which managed to impress the Editor-in-Chief of British GQ, Mr Dylan Jones who has offered me to work at their London Headquarters without an interview process. It took me more than 3 weeks to make this resume including the photo shoots, graphic designing and content writing."
