Sasha 14, chose a $19,990 (approximately Rs 13 lakh) gown by the Indian American designers' Resort 2016 collection.
3) After the uproar about the girl’s very expensive dresses started doing the round, reports emerged that the dresses were “loaned” by the designer. Not new to the hate thrown at them, Malia and Sasha had been criticised in 2014 too for wearing short skirts and looking disinterested at the White House Turkey Pardon.
4) The man of the hour Naeem Khan is a New York-based designer.
Born in Mumbai, he had moved to the US as a teenager to become a designer and launched his career as an apprentice to legendary American designer Halston at 20.
5) In 2008, Naeem was inducted as a member of the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America. His clothes have been worn by Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, First Lady Michelle Obama and Queen Noor of Jordan.
