A lot of time women do not enjoy the monthly visits of periods as it causes painful cramps.

However, one woman is trying to convince people to actually drink their menstrual blood, as it is a natural way of boosting their energy levels.

30-year-old Nadine Lee is a Bali-based healer who encourages others experience "menstruation magic", to prove that periods are completely natural, and that we should embrace them.

According to her drinking one’s own blood can be a way for women to clear your vision and energise themselves by awakening spiritual centres.”

In an article published in The Sun, she adds, “It’s about connecting with our natural bodies rhythms and using that to amplify our lives. It can be used to leverage our relationships, careers, and spirituality.”

The Australian-born healer even suggests pouring it back onto the earth, to plug us “into the energy of mother nature and your roots”.

Nadine, who used to work in advertising, gravitated towards spirituality and witchcraft after she became too stressed out from her previous endeavour.

Starting with medication, she then began to try spell work which led her to the ancient Shamanic tradition of blood magic.

Nadine is even turning her teaching into workshops, and is hosting a ‘menstruation magic’ event in Sydney this month.
