Going Wagah gaga!

The campaign, Wagah Fever, entails carrying the love.

Ever struck a destination off your bucket list, for a purpose way beyond just holidaying? Well, that was exactly the train of thought for RJ Sriram Sullia of Fever 104 FM — who will be travelling to the Wagah Border, with an aim to make the 70th Independence Day a tad special — for our country’s heroes at the border with special messages from namma city folks.

We find out more, as the show host readies himself, “The idea is to do something a little different that would be bold, daring and befitting the persona of my personality, which was reflected on my shows. The campaign, Wagah Fever, entails carrying the love

It is all about spreading the camaraderie by literally cutting through borders and seamlessly carrying the power of a medium that was first used to announce the declaration of independence to our great nation!” shares Sriram, who intends to air this as a live- a-thon on his shows.

Enthusing how the Independence day fervour has caught up among the ‘ooru’s youths, he reveals, “We’ve been fortunate enough to have found takers by the hordes. There are such inspirational messages coming from people from different walks of life in the city. The specially-curated badges from our end are probably just a small token of appreciation for the reasons we feel so much safer because of their selfless service.”

Armed with a team of seven (a doctor, a videographer, a cameraman and three drivers), the adventure enthusiast tells us how he is thrilled to the letter.

“As someone who has always been into a myriad of adventure activities, I’d like to describe this idea as a concept where the journey is probably as exciting as the destination. It’s probably one of the most exciting road trips I’ve been on to in 2016!,” shares the 30-year-old, who attended the Budh International Circuit for Formula 1, and rode down from Bengaluru to Goa on a Harley Davidson for the India Bike Week earlier this year.

Hopeful about the days ahead, he states by concluding, “More than anything else, I see this as an effort to keep doing our bit towards humanity. My fingers are crossed. Let’s see where the journey takes me! Living life king-size, one day at a time, is what I do best!”
