All those who love the thrill of speed, get ready for a dizzying ride. Popular Vehicles and Services will conduct an autocross for four-wheeler vehicles in association with the Pete’s Festival of Speed on January 13 and 14 at the Cochin International Airport grounds, Nedumbassery. Autocross is a timed competition in which drivers navigate one at a time through a defined course on either a sealed or unsealed surface, driving against the clock.
The fourth edition of Pete’s super cars event pulls in auto lovers from every nook and corner. This year there are events galore at the festival with Power Drive, auto stunts, go-carting, Autocross, radio-controlled car competitions, exhibitions, rock show, entertainment, food festival, merchandising, new launches, etc. The event is streamed on the virtual space too.
Popular Autocross runs in 6 different categories
a) Motorcars having upto 999cc engine capacity
b) Motorcars having upto 1299cc engine capacity
c) Motorcars having upto 1599cc engine capacity
d) Open class – any car any modification
e) Ladies class – open with any car
f) Kerala Amateur class (for local participation – any capacity engine but non-modified)
