Sources say, doctor, identified as Umashankar, committed suicide, by hanging himself in his home.
A second year engineering student, Lakshmi Sai, committed suicide by hanging in a room in the Maya Bazaar area of Gudur in SPSR Nellore district.
Lucknow: A doctor reportedly committed suicide in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar after his wife did not allow him to eat non-vegetarian food.
According to sources in the police, the doctor, identified as Umashankar, committed suicide, by hanging himself in his home.
The incident occurred on Thursday night.
Umashankar had an argument with his wife Deepti, who is a sales tax official, over having non-vegetarian food Thursday night.
Following the argument, Umashankar committed suicide and his wife did not come to know until she got up in the morning
Deepti soon informed the police about the suicide.
The police have sent the body for the postmortem and began an investigation into the matter.
