Prince William says 'I lost my mummy too' to comfort girl who lost father

Nine-year-old Aoife had lost her father to pancreatic cancer six years ago when he met her

It is always difficult to talk about death; the loss of a dear one always brings back tears to the eyes. Prince William did differently and spoke about his mother Princess Diana to grieving children when he visited them recently. The Duke of Cambridge consoled a small child and told her about his mother's death when he was young like her.

According to a report in the Metro, Prince William recently visited a Child Bereavement Centre where he met Aoife, a nine-year-old girl mourning her father’s death. The Duke spoke about his mother, Princess Diana’s death and told the girl that his mummy too died when he was young’ to comfort her. He later revealed that he was very angry but he recovered from it.

Aoife’s father had died from pancreatic cancer six years ago and was really sad about it when the Prince told her not to bottle up her grief and she should talk about it to as many people as she can, to recover.

After the meeting with William, Aiofe's mother Marie said, "I couldn't believe it when he started to talk about his mother. It was very emotional and I was willing myself not to start to cry. I almost did.”
