Woman branded 'ugly' over rare bone condition turns Youtube star

Lily Cvetok's Youtube channel has gained 13 million views.

A Russian woman branded 'ugly' for a rare genetic condition which stops her bones from growing symmetrically has become a Youtube beauty blogging star.

Lily Cvetok was just seven years old when she was diagnosed with a condition called McCune-Albright Syndrome that affects the bones, hormones and skin. She has been left wheelchair bound due to the disorder.

As a child, the now 21-year-old was mocked for her appearance and was called "ugly" and "not beautiful" by her classmates, The Sun reports. However, the bullying didn't stop the young lady from launching her own YouTube channel in 2014. On it, she gives makeup tutorials, which has gained 13 million views.

Despite receiving negative comments online Cvetok said she continues to do what she loves thanks to the support from her family, friends and subscribers. While it is not pleasant reading such horrible comments, she chooses not to pay attention to them.

Cvetok has also won awards for her body positive messages. She hopes that people are motivated and inspired by her videos. "I’m just like you, it’s just that I have more desire than abiliy," she is quoted as saying by The Sun.
