Former fashion designer, engineer, turns ACP officer to help women lead better lives

She now helps women in the bootlegging business by providing them stipends while teaming up with big brands.

Being born with a silver spoon did not lead Manjita Vanzara to choose the easy life. After dabbling in fashion and engineering, she took a big leap into civil services in order to give back to society.

After studying engineering, she went on to complete a course in fashion designing from NIFT and work for a big brand in the city. She later decided to give her Civil Services exam and became an Assistant Commissioner of Police. Vanzara now helps women in the bootlegging business by providing them stipends while teaming up with big brands.

“There are friends of mine who earn in 7 digits but for me bringing a smile on a deprived woman or helping a child get education is worth more than 7 digits. It has never been about money, it has always been about helping the people,” she is quoted as saying.
