Sweden hotel promises refund if customers divorce within a year of stay

A Swedish hotel chain is offering to refund money spent by married couples if they happen to divorce within a year of their stay. The Countryside Hotels group claims that their initiative is a kind of ‘relationship guarantee’ that will ultimately benefit couples.

Of course, there are certain conditions to be met to avail the scheme. The couple must be married and staying together at the time of demanding the refund. They should also furnish court-authenticated divorce papers.

If the paperwork is submitted correctly then the hotel chain will reimburse them with the cost of the two nights’ stay, according to reports.
